Abstract:<\/h4>\n

El objetivo que persigue el presente estudio es el de hacer memoria de Jaume Balmes en el Bicentenario de su nacimiento. Vivimos un momento hist\u00f3rico en el que las prisas parecen dominarlo todo. La informaci\u00f3n es abundante, cambiante y, en muchas ocasiones, contradictoria. Es necesario guardar la memoria de los que se tomaron tiempo para pensar y nos ense\u00f1aron a nosotros a pensar. Por ello, lo que el lector encontrar\u00e1 en este art\u00edculo son muchas cosas ya dichas; pero que todav\u00eda hoy tienen mucho que decir. Lo mejor es que Balmes nos hable de s\u00ed mismo, de c\u00f3mo \u00e9l se vio; de algunos puntos de su pensamiento que exigen ser repensados hoy, porque son verdaderas interpelaciones a nuestro modo de vivir, a nuestra sociedad y a nuestra cultura. Tambi\u00e9n dejar hablar a otros, los que bien lo comprendieron porque ahondaron en su persona y en su obra. Quiz\u00e1s lo \u00fanico novedoso que aqu\u00ed se pueda encontrar es lo que Joan Maragall dice de Balmes y c\u00f3mo lo ofrece a la cultura de nuestro pa\u00eds: como un aut\u00e9ntico maestro de vida y de pensamiento, del cual nos queda a\u00fan mucho que aprender.<\/p>\n

He just wants to contribute something to the knowledge of the personality and thought of Jaume Balmes. He also wants to show, through his own words or those thinkers who know him well and know the current term of your way to address some philosophical issues.
